NEW CLASSES - Development Night๐Ÿ’š

New and exciting night starting Friday 14th May!!๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›

Due to the academy nearly doubling in size since us re opening after lockdown (which is amazing) we are needing to add more classes to the timetable which has resulted in a extra night!!

The areas which have been extremely popular and are now fully booked in each week is tumble/ stretch and pom dance also tiny classes.

So here are our NEW sessions starting next week plus descriptions!

4-4:45 Leaping Lemons
This is a new Tiny class working specifically on the styles of dance we offer at Hawks. Jazz/ pom/ lyrical and hip hop. These little ones will get a change to try and learn lots of different styles of dance. This joins our current tiny series of classes โ€˜Lemon dropsโ€™- our competitive tiny team , โ€˜Little Lemonsโ€™ โ€“ Our recreational cheer tots class and now โ€˜Leaping Lemonsโ€™ โ€“ Our new recreational Dance tots class!
Available for members 3-6 years.

4-4:45 Tumble Specific โ€“ Walkover Development
This is an addition to our current tumble Tuesdays, as We are fully booked for general tumbling we have created 2 specific tumble classes to give our members the development they need! The first of which is our โ€˜Walkover Developmentโ€™ class This is for members who have mastered their basics โ€˜forward rolls/ handstands/ cartwheels/ bridge etcโ€™ who are onto walkovers. This class we will be working on the strength and flexibility needed for a walkover also drills to develop correct technique . The aim of this class is to master the forward and backward walkover plus walkover variations.

4:45-5:30 Tumble Specific โ€“ Handspring (Flick) development
The second new addition to our tumbling programme is our โ€˜Newโ€™ Handspring development class, This class is focusing on forward and backward (flicks) Handsprings. The strength, flexibility and technique needed to perform these skills. Not only learning how to flick or do a handspring but also master these skills with flick combinations, standing and running flick combinations and forward tumbling combinations. To take part in this class athletes must have their forward and backward walkover as well as a strong round off.

4:45-5:30 Pom Dance
Due to our recreational pom class being full on a Tuesday night we have added on another session aiming our new starters and younger athletes. This is Pom Preparation, learning the basics of pom dance, alarm motion technique and jumps. Weekly learning arm motion choreography. This is great for our athletes who have enjoyed our current pom class but would excel in a more fundamental class.
This class is for members 6+.

5:30-6:15 Fitness and Stretch
Due to our Fitness and Flexibility class being full on a Wednesday night we have added on another session aiming our new starters and mini/ youth/ junior Allstar athletes who are not in elite dance. During this session we do some fitness work and strength/ conditioning exercises followed by a full body stretch, working to improve range of movement in joints and flexibility in muscles.
This class is for members 6+.

Before booking tumble lessons please check with me which class your child needs to be in as they are split by skill level and not age
